Diana Lynn Phillips

Diana, 64, passed away on June 17, 2023 at UnityPoint Iowa Methodist Medical Center. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 24 at Iles Norwalk Chapel. Her family will greet friends beginning at 1 p.m.

Diana Lynn, the daughter of Ellsworth Ernest “Bud” and Betty Jean (Lane) Houg, was born September 21, 1958 in Des Moines, IA. She grew up in the Winterset area and graduated from Winterset High School. Diana retired from working in claims at Principal.

On October 10, 2020 at 3:33 p.m., she was united in marriage with John Phillips. Diana enjoyed caring for their flowers and plants, and especially enjoyed time with her family and friends.

Diana is lovingly remembered by her husband, John; children: Kelcey Lane Yarges and Dustin (Stacie) Yarges; grandchildren: Roxanne Belle Benson, Maynard Wayne Benson, Sawyer Lane Yarges, and soon to be Porter McKinley Yarges; as well as her two brothers, Steven Allen Houg and Donald Lee (Theresa) Houg. She was preceded in death by her parents.
