Her passing leaves behind a void in the hearts of all who knew her.

Catherine was a graduate of Winterset High School, class of 1948, and went on to become a successful business owner. She owned and operated the Winterset Seed and Garden Center, where she shared her passion for gardening with the community.
For most of her life, Catherine resided in Madison County, where she cultivated lifelong friendships and a deep connection to the community. In her later years, she moved to West Des Moines and spent the last 14 years of her life there. She became an active member of the Reminisce Club at Fair Meadows Village, where she shared stories and laughter with fellow residents.

Catherine had a vibrant spirit and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She had a fondness for playing bingo and trying her luck on the slot machines. These activities brought her joy and allowed her to embrace the excitement of each moment.

She is survived by her daughters, Peggy (Frank) Shutt of Winterset and Teena (Walter) Wearmouth of Des Moines; brother, Charles (Helen) Berry of Winterset; grandchildren, Teri (Mike) McAllister, Wade Wearmouth, Regina Wearmouth, and Paul (Aerica) Shutt; and sisters-in-law, Louise Berry and Sherry Berry. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Cadence, Maxwell, Reggie, Madeline, Roman, Giada, Leo, Milo, Rhiannon, and Eric; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lowell, and her brothers, Bob Berry and Lester Berry.
