Page 12, Column 4Mrs. Ben White Dies At Age 67
The death of Mrs. Ben White, a former resident of Madison county but for the past twenty years or more has lived in Clive, Iowa, occurred at the Lutheran hospital in Des Moines, Nov. 27, following an operation.
Mrs. White, whose maiden name was Lillian Farlow, was born in Winterset on April 15, 1872 and her marriage to Ben White took place March 20, 1892.
To this union were born three children, all of whom with Mr. White Survive. The children are Mrs. Wessie Powers of Des Moines; Earl and Embree White of Clive.
Funeral services were held in Des Moines on Nov. 29 and burial was made in Glendale cemetery.
_______________________Transcriber's notes: Her Iowa Death Certificate shows her maiden name to be "Huddleston", the "Farlow" being her mother's maiden name. This is also confirmed by her Madison County Marriage Record. Note also that the death certificate states that she was born in Quincy, Illinois.
