ELDERLY WOMEN IS BURIED FRIDAY

Mrs. C. H. Wigton, 95, Died At Home of Granddaughter. Buried at Stuart.

Funeral services for Mrs. Charles Wigton, 95 years of age, were held Friday afternoon, October 27, at two o’clock in the Neil Anderson funeral home. The Rev. J. H. Cochrane, jr., pastor of the Baptist church, officiated. Burial was made in the Morrisburg cemetery north of Stuart.

Mrs. Wigton died Wednesday, October 25, at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. C. R. Monagon, south of Winterset, with whom she had made her home.

She was married to Charles H. Wigton on July 20, 1865, following his honorable discharge from the Union army, which he served during the entire Civil war.

To this union were born seven sons and one daughter. Three sons have preceded her in death. Surviving her is the one daughter, Lucy V. Payton of Chicago; the four sons, Edward E. of Guernsey; Burt E. of Romolind, California; Elna D. of Dexter; and Phillip R. of Sioux City, Iowa. Surviving also are 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She had joined the Methodist church at Victor a great many years ago and retained her membership there until her death.
