County Briefs – Macksburg

Word was received here of the death of James Bennett, who was a resident of Macksburg a long time ago. Mr. Bennett died Feb 6, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Helen Shoulte at Genoa, Neb., and was buried in Colo.

BENNETT RITES

Fullerton, Neb., Feb. 9. (Special) – Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church Tuesday afternoon for James Gordon Bennett, 79, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ed Schulte, east of Fullerton. Rev. Silas G. Kessler, pastor of the church, was in charge of the services and burial was made in Los Animas, Colo., cemetery.

Mr. Bennett made his home here for a number of years, moving here from Colorado. After the death of his wife he came to make his home with his daughter.
