MaryLou Hern, 90, of Indianola, passed away on March 8, 2023 in Des Moines, Iowa. A private burial will be held at Winterset Cemetery.
MaryLou was born on August 5, 1932 in Madison County, Iowa to John and Josephine (Low) Alcorn.
She is survived by her daughter, Marylou (Douglas) Nolte; grandchildren, Charles Nolte, DawnRenae Karr, Wayde Nolte, Atticus Karr, Scarlet Karr, Brennan Nolte, Hanna (Jesse) Arrendal, Daisee (Jorge Ramirez) Showers, Brayden Nolte, Leelyn McCarty-Sharp, Zayden Arrendal, and Nylah Arrendal; and a sister, Shirley Wade.
MaryLou was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Glen Alcorn, Preston Alcorn, and Eugene Alcorn; and her sisters, Lela Kemberry and Eunice Patenaude.
