Marjorie Jane Cooper, daughter of Henry Andrew Dippold and Helen Marjorie (Shera) Dippold was born July 17, 1941 in Madison County, Iowa and passed from this life Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Windsor Manor in Indianola, Iowa at 81 years of age.

Marj graduated from Van Meter High School, she was united in marriage to John Henry Cooper on November 14, 1959 in Warren County, Iowa. Henry preceded her in death.

Marj loved being a farmwife, she loved being outdoors in her gardens and working with her flowers, she also had many lovely house plants. Marj enjoyed driving the tractor and working on the farm, she was still driving the tractor last year at the age of 81 years. She enjoyed genealogy research and traveling with Short exploring their genealogy, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and needle work. Marj was a second grandmother to Samantha and she loved saying Samantha's boys were her boys. Marj was very fortunate to live in a community with such caring neighbors and friends, she was a very caring and loving person, she will be missed.

Those relatives who preceded Marj in death were her parents, Henry and Helen Dippold, husband, John Henry Cooper, devoted companion, Clifford "Short" Ransom, adopted son, John "Ringo" Cooper, sister, Shirley Ann Dippold, special nephew, Shawn Ballard, and sister-in-law, Johanna Dippold.

Marj leaves to cherish her memory; brother, Harlan Dippold of Urbandale, IA, special sister-in-law, Linda (David) Ballard of New Virginia, IA, nephew, Terry H. (Mary) Dippold of Urbandale, IA, niece, Connie Jo Wayman of Des Moines, IA, special niece, Samantha Bell and boys of Illinois, special nephew, Joey (Jenny) Ballard and family of Prole, IA, as well as other relatives and many friends.

Per Marjorie's wishes a private graveside will be held.

Interment will be in the Bethel Chapel Cemetery, Woodburn, Iowa.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Osceola Public Library.
