Mrs. Charles McMillan received word this week of the death Friday of Mrs. William Hedge in Los Angeles, California. She was about 85.
J. J. Gaston was employed by Mr. Hedge in the implement business here and the family lived in a house which stood on the site of the city standpipe. Mr. Hedge is deceased.
________________________Transcriber's notes: Per the California Death Index, she died on December 31. Full name taken from the 1885 Iowa State Census and maiden name from her 1873 Polk County Marriage Record. The Hedges were in the Madison County censuses of 1880 and 1885.
