Many of the relatives and friends of Benjamin F. Black of Des Moines were saddened to hear of his sudden death Sunday, December 6.
He had been in St. Charles Tuesday before, looking after the settlement of his father, William H. Black’s estate. His father died November 14, 1935.
Benjamin F. Black was about 55 years of age, receiving his education in the St. Charles schools. For many years he has been a government inspector of meats at the Iowa Packing company in Des Moines.
He is survived by his wife, Edna, one son, Warren, and one brother, Grover of Norwalk, California. Alex and Frank Black of St. Charles are his uncles.
Funeral services were held in Des Moines Wednesday, December 9 at the Hamilton funeral home. Burial was made in the Masonic cemetery in Des Moines.
