DEATH OF FORMER MADISON CO. MAN

Lyle Elderkin, 55, former resident of Winterset, died in Minneapolis, Minnesota, December 5 where he had lived a number of years. Services were held Monday from a Christian Science church. He had been in ill health some time and had failed rapidly the last month. He had been a traveling salesman for years.

Surviving are his wive, who before her marriage was Mae Fagan, daughter of Will Fagan, a former Winterset business man; their daughter who lives at home; his brother Glen of Winterset; a brother and sister, Paul Elderkin and Mrs. Joveta Willcox, both of Eagle Rock, California. Glenn Elderkin went to Minneapolis last week after receiving word of his brother’s death.

ARCHIE L. ELDERKIN

Funeral services for Archie L. Elderkin, 55, 4544 First avenue S., who died Friday, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Welander Quist chapel, 1825 Chicago avenue.

He was born at Winterset, Iowa, and had been a resident of Minneapolis for 36 years, Mr. Elderkin is survived by the widow, a daughter, Marion, of Minneapolis; and two brothers, Glen, Winterset, and Paul of Los Angeles.
