Eli Lamm, who has been in quite poor health for some time, died Friday evening and the funeral services were held Sunday.

Forgust Eli Lamb

Forgust Eli Lamb, son of John B. And Mary Lamb was born in Van Buren, Indiana December 12, 1874, and passed away at his home near Truro, Iowa, June 21, 1935, being aged at death 61 years, 6 months and 9 days.

He had been in failing health for several years and bedfast for 6 weeks. He was a patient sufferer to the last although at times the pain seemed almost unbearable.

When a small child he came with his parents to Iowa. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Fisher at Woodburn, March 17, 1897. To this union were born 6 children - 4 girls and 2 boys, namely: Mrs. Maud Howell of Truro, Floyd of Indianola, Lillie Beaklar of, Humeston, Opal Nichols of Martensdale Enos at home. Then infant daughter died in 1907.

When a young man he joined the Baptist church at Woodburn, but later transferred his membership to the M. E. church at St. Charles in which faith he continued to live until death.

You leaves to mourn his passing is devoted wife and children above-mentioned, besides 9 grandchildren, one brother, five sisters and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday at New Virginia M. E. church and burial was made at the Kirby cemetery near Cambria, Iowa.
