Funeral Held Here

A large number of friends and relatives attended funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Fisher of Des Moines at the Fisher funeral home on Tuesday afternoon. Interment was by the side of her husband in the Payton cemetery southwest of Van Meter.

PERSONAL ITEMS FROM VAN METER

The funeral service for Mrs. Agnes Fisher of 1009 Leland Avenue, Des Moines, was held at the Fisher funeral home Tuesday afternoon.

Agnes Drabelle Fisher was born near Indianola on June 13, 1858 and departed this life on February 10, 1935, at the age of 76 years. She lived near Indianola until her marriage in 1882 to George Fisher. They made their home in Van Meter and vicinity for forty-three years. Mr. Fischer preceded her in death on December 11, 1934. She has since made her home in Des Moines. She was ill five weeks, the last two at the Mercy hospital.

She leaves to mourn, a daughter, Helen, four step-sons; Edwin Fisher of Winterset, Frank Fisher of Jackson, Minnesota, Warren Fisher of Chicago, Illinois, Owen Fisher of Eagle Grove, Missouri; one step-daughter Mrs. Belle Rigdon of New Mexico; sister a sister, Miss Effie Drabelle of Des Moines and a brother John W. Drabelle of St. Louis, Missouri.

The Rev. S. C. Peterson of the Methodist Episcopal Church conducted the funeral service. The burial was in the Payton cemetery.

Transcriber's note: The deceased was married to George Fisher in February 1883 per Warren county Marriage Records. They lived in Jefferson Township, Madison County until some time after 1900 per Madison County Census Records.
