FORMER SEWARD GROCER DIED THURSDAY NIGHT

J. T. Anderson, familiarly known as “Temp” during the many years he resided in Seward, died at his home at 3217 S. 40th street, Lincoln, Thursday night. Mr. Anderson recently sustained a dislocated shoulder, and it is believed the shock from this injury was the chief cause of his death.

He was born at Akron, Ohio, 85 years ago, and came to Seward where he conducted a grocery store for 34 years, removing to Lincoln in December, 1914, where the family has since made their home. During his many years of residence here Mr. Anderson was active in community and church affairs.

He is survived by two daughters, Mayme and Florence of Lincoln, and two sons, Gray and Paul of Denver, and three grandchildren. Mrs. Anderson died a couple of years ago and one daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Henderson of Indianola, Iowa, died the past year.

Funeral services were conducted in Lincoln at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, and the body was brought to Seward for burial in the family lot in Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Paul Johnson of Lincoln was in charge of the services.
