Posted onlineBarbara (Barb) Jean Traster passed away Feb 23, 2023, in Parkville, MO, at the age of 92. Barbara was born Oct 12, 1930, to Robert and Freda (See) Burns, on a farm near Orient, IA. In 1949 she graduated from Truro High School, in Truro, IA.
Barbara worked at Simpson College, the Iowa College Foundation and the Warren County Clerks Office, where she was First Deputy and later Clerk of Court.
Barbara married Charles Traster on July 15th, 1972. They shared 41 years before Chuck passed away Nov. 2013. Barb always had a smile and a wave for everyone.
She is survived by her son Steven Leggett, of Parkville, MO and grandson, Cody Leggett, of Ankeny, IA. Siblings Linda (Merv) Bommel, of Waukee, IA, and sister in law, Linda Burns of Newton, IA.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, her son and daughter Rod and Sherry Leggett, also her brothers Bob and Bill Burns.
There will be no services. Cremation has taken place and she has asked to be interred with her husband, and scattered in places that were special to them.
