Tom was born in Winterset, Iowa on October 16, 1953, the son of Charles R. and Mary E. (Breen) Beeler. He attended Winterset High School and was a four-sport athlete, with baseball being his favorite. He married Juanita King on October 9, 1976.

In 1997, Tom started Beeler Trucking. Over the 25 years, he came to know and enjoy working with numerous people in the community. He enjoyed donating his services to many organizations in Madison County. He was on the advisory board for the Cedar Lake Watershed, a director for the Madison County Cattlemen, a trustee at St. Joseph Catholic Church, and served on the Parish Council.

Tom was a lifelong Madison County resident and was active in the Winterset community his entire life. He had a passion for his business, farm, and family. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and traveling, as well as his “most expensive hobby”, farming. He loved to watch his granddaughters catch fish in his pond and his grandson working in his shop.

Tom is survived by his wife, Juanita Beeler; sons, Luke (Katie) Beeler of West Des Moines and Charlie Beeler of Urbandale; brothers, Doug Beeler of Minneapolis, MN, Mike Beeler of Perry, Bob (Sheila) Beeler of Overland Park, KS, and Troy (Jennifer) Beeler of Overland Park, KS; sisters, Mary (Marv) Wilson of Overland Park, KS, Barb (Jim) Prpich of Vernonia, OR, Julie (Dave) McFarlin of Plattsburg, MO; 3 grandchildren, Evelyn Beeler, Maggie Beeler, and James Beeler; and many loving in-laws and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mae Beeler; and a sister, Teresa Beeler.
