Francis Glenn McGee

Francis Glenn McGee, 96 of De Soto, went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. He was born February 22, 1926. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. His profession was carpentry. For many years he worked in Adel helping to build houses until he went to Iowa Methodist to work as a carpenter/maintenance worker. He worked 20 years at Iowa Methodist with never missing a day.

Francis is survived by his daughter, Glenice (Lenard) Purscell; son, Dana McGee; 3 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne; his mother & father; 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home - McCalley Chapel in Adel. Family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. before the service. He will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery, beside his wife at a later date.
