Darla Mae (Tripp) Jenks, daughter of Harry William Nichols and Eva Pearle (Travis) Nichols was born April 8, 1944 in Peru, Iowa and passed from this life Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at her home near Lorimor surrounded by her family, at 78 years of age.

Darla grew up in the Peru area and graduated from Winterset High School. She was united in marriage to Larry Tripp and three sons, Robert, William and Terry blessed this union. They were living in Oklahoma when Larry preceded her in death in 1986. Darla married Richard Jenks in 1987, he preceded her in death in 2003.

Darla enjoyed her family and having them near. She enjoyed going to the Casino and loved her cats.

Those relatives who preceded Darla in death were her parents, Harry and Eva, husbands, Larry Lee Tripp, and Richard Reed Jenks, sons, Robert Ray Tripp, and William Lee Tripp, and brother, Evan Nichols.

Darla leaves to cherish her memory; son, Jerry Tripp of Lorimor, IA, significant other, Donavon Harrison of Lorimor, IA, numerous grandkids and great grandkids and many special friends.

Visitation will be Saturday from 10 until 11 with funeral at 11 am at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola.

Interment will follow in the Peru Cemetery in Peru, Iowa.
