Mr. and Mrs. E. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Thompson, and Ellis Jessup attended the funeral of C. C. Thompson in Creston Tuesday. Burial was in the Moon cemetery.

Coordinator's note: All vital records starting with his fist census in 1860 have his name as "Columbus C.". There are claims that his name was Christopher Columbus but that could not be verified.
