Funeral services were held at the Fisher Funeral Home, here, Friday, Dec. 12, for Earl Oliver Dorsey. He passed away at Iowa City on Dec. 10, at the age of 83 years.
Mr. Dorsey was born at Lorimor, Iowa and moved with his parents to a farm in Webster Township when he was a boy. Other than short periods of time in Missouri and Kansas for the past 18 years he has resided in Dallas County.
Rev. Ray Barnett officiated at the services. Casket bearers were Francis Bonham, Carl Haymond, Homer Smith, Clifford Thompson, Clarence Love and Gene Kirby. Soloist was Mrs. Earl Whitworth accompanied by Miriam Caudron. Burial was at Winterset.
He is survived by his son Earl, of Des Moines and a daughter, Mrs. Rolla Eyerly, of St. Joseph, Mo.
