The death of Mrs. Margaret Johnston occurred Thursday, at the home of her son, H. R. Johnston, in Union township. She was ninety-one years of age and had made her home in Madison county for the past twenty years.
Besides her son she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Jane Abel of Saybrook, Illinois and Mrs. Ida Seevers of Peru, also two step children, Mrs. Sarah Davis of Hudson, Illinois and Samuel Johnston of Bunch, Iowa.
The body was taken to Husdon, Illinois for burial.
_______________________Transcriber's notes: Maiden name taken from her 1848 Richland County, Ohio Marriage Record. Daughter "Ida Seevers" is "Ida Severns" per her gravestone.
