Mabel Peppard Killed

The remains of Mabel Lauretta Muir, who was killed in an automobile accident in Los Angeles, California, June 29, arrived over the Santa Fe last Friday night and were taken to the home of Dr. J. A. Jones, where a short funeral service was conducted Saturday morning by Rev. R. B. Butler, pastor of the Baptist church, in the presence of a large congregation of relatives and friends of the family.

Mabel Lauretta Peppard was born in Winterset, Iowa, July 15, 1877, and resided there until 1899, when with her parents she moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma.

She was married to George W. Muir in September, 1900. To this union was born one child.

Died at Los Angeles, California, June 29, 1912; aged 34 years, 11 months and 14 days.

She is survived by one daughter, Vivian Muir, now seven years old; father, John G. Peppard; one sister, Mrs. J. A. Jones, both of Tonkawa, and one brother, Harry E. Peppard, of Wichita, Kansas. – Tonkawa News (Oklahoma)
