Mrs. Kathleen Meacham

Funeral services for Mrs. Kathleen Meacham were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Waggener & Campbell chapel by Rev. H. C. Stark of the Presbyterian church. During the service Lyle Carr sang two solo selections, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Carr. Members of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Order of Eastern Star attended in a body and the Star service was given at the grave side. The chapel was filled by the many friends attending and there were many beautiful flowers banked high across the entire front of the chapel. Friends acting as pall bearers were Chester Yale, Frank Yale, Frank Pierce, Lloyd Pettit, Lyle Manning and Mark Jarrow. Interment was made in the Conrad Memorial cemetery.

OBITUARY

Kathleen Wright was born Nov. 17, 1870 at Brownsville, Penn., and passed away June 14, 1938 at Kalipsell, at the age of 67 years. She had been ill since early last fall.

She moved from Pennsylvania to Iowa with her parents when she was a small child and at the age of 18 years moved to Utica, Montana. On March 20, 1895 she was married to Harmon E. Meacham at Winterset, Iowa. In the spring of 1900 Mr. and Mrs. Meacham returned to Utica to make their home and ten years later came to Kalispell. Mr. Meacham died here in 1928 and a son, Alex A., was killed in service during the World War.

Mrs. Meacham is survived by her four children, Mrs. Virgie Bienz, of Everett, Washington; Fred, Jack and Homer, all of Kalispell, and two grandchildren, Rex Bienz and Sharon Meacham; also five brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Meacham was a member of the Presbyterian church, Ada Chapter No. 17, Order of Eastern Star, The American Legion Auxiliary, the Rebekah Lodge and the War Mothers.
