GEORGE WRIGHT DIED RECENTLY IN MONTANA

Former Local Resident Had Become Large Rancher in Western State

Word was received here recently of the death of Lewiston Mont., of George F. Wright, who as a young man lived in this community a half century ago. He was a brother of Will Wright of Greenfield and of Mrs. Ella Fox of Dexter.

Mr. Wright was a native of Pennsylvania, where he was born April 18, 1865. He came to Madison County as a youth of 17, and lived here several years before moving to Montana.

In the west he worked as a cowboy and later started large scale ranching operation o his own. At one time he operated one of the largest ranches in Montana. He retired in 1908 and moved into Lewistown, where in 1918, he was elected county commissioner.

Mr. Wright is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Allen and Mrs. Lois Scovel of Lewistown, in addition to two sisters and four brothers.
