Word from C. F. Clanton, of California, bears the intelligence of the death of George Stiffler, who was once a respected resident of this country. He was sick but a short time and suffered intensely.
His death was attributed to ice cream which he ate just previous to his fatal illness.

Wednesday, July 19, 1907STIFFLER – In Norwalk, Cal., Sunday, July 14, 1907, George W. Stiffler, aged about 72 years.
Mr. Stiffler was for many years one of our most respected citizens, a photographer and gentleman in every sense of the word.
George L. Stiffler, now of Boulder, received a telegram Sunday afternoon announcing his father’s death but giving no particulars. He left immediately for Norwalk, Cal., But gave as his opinion that the interment would take place in California or he would telegraphed the editor of this paper otherwise.
In the death of Mr. Stiffler we feel as though we had lost a friend. Knowing him personally for many years, we have always found him the same genial Christian man. He was a devoted member of the Methodist church, and consistent in his life he will meet his reward, now that his earthly life has passed.
After he left Longmont he was engaged in his profession at Loveland, but gave it up more than a year ago and went to California.
