MESA - Mrs. Mabel C. Smith, 74, a resident here 21 years, died yesterday in Mesa Lutheran Hospital. Mrs. Smith, 1203 W. First Place, was a member of the Rainbow Division Veterans auxiliary. She was born in Winterset, Iowa and moved to Mesa from Des Moines.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Melcher Mortuary. 43 S. Stapley. Friends may call there after noon tomorrow, Burial will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery, Phoenix.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Betty Lantz of Madison, Wis., and Mrs. Joanna Heath of Mesa; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
