HELEN JORDAN – West Des Moines

Helen L. Jordan, 77, of 709 Grand Ave., West Des Moines, died of a heart ailment Tuesday at home. The body has been donated to the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, and memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Westover Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jordan was born in Winterset and had lived in the Des Moines area most of her life. She had been a teacher in Des Moines, Clive and Woodward-Granger and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and West Des Moines Historical Society.

Surviving are her husband, Robert; a daughter, Patricia Berkley of Winona, Minn.; a son, Robert W. of Waterloo; three sisters, Alberta Hansen of Des Moines, Ruth Lapp of Perry and Mabel Wright of Lakeland, Fla.; a brother, Robert Perry of Box-holm; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Memorial contributions may be made to her church or West Des Moines Historical Society.
