CATHERINE GEAR - Des Moines

Catherine Gear, 88, died June 26, 2009 at the Kavanagh House. Catherine enjoyed cross-stitching, birds, puzzles and building models.

Catherine is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Larry) Musselman, and Karen (Gary); son, Rick (Ruth) Gear; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and three sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents and five brothers.

Visitation will be Monday, June 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Care, 7975 University, Clive, Iowa. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 30, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at McDivitt Grove Cemetery in Urbandale following services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice Kavanagh House. Brooks Funeral Care.
