J. V. Mendenhall Services Set

Services for James Vernon Mendenhall, 42, of 3320 Fourteenth St., who died of cancer Sunday at Veterans Hospital, will be at 10:30 a. m. Friday at Arnold's Highland Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in the veterans plot in Glendale Cemetery.

Born in Earlham, Mr. Mendenhall had been a Des Moines resident 18 years, formerly living in Ames four years. A machinist, he attended Des Moines Technical High School. He was a member of an Oakland, Cal., Baptist Church.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Burl Mendenhall of Des Moines; his father, Ira Mendenhall of Grimes; two sisters, Mrs. John R. Walker of Grimes, and Mrs. Gene Garewal of Yuba City, Cal.; five brothers, Walter R. of Des Moines, Roland of Davis City, Kenneth of Grimes, Cal., and Howard and Harry, both of Bakersfield, Cal.
