Mary Jane Parker was born at Way[n]etown, Montgomery county, Indiana April 9, 1842; was married to F.M. Tracy September 1, 1859, at the same place, and died June 8, 1915, at Hebron, Neb., aged 73 years, 1 month and 29 days.

To this home were born six children, all of which survive her. They are Mrs. Saphronia Waechter, Riverton, Nebraska, W.F. Tracy, Winterset, Iowa, V.L. Tracy, W.W. Tracy, J.A. Tracy, Hebron, Nebraska, and G M. Tracy Crookston, Nebraska. All children except the first two mentioned, were present at the funeral services, they being detained by illness.

The family came to Nebraska in 1884 and settled in Thayer county.

Funeral services were conducted from the home, Wednesday, June 9, 1915, and burial took place at Rose Hill cemetery. Ira E. Carney conducted the services. Mrs. Tracy was converted to Christ when fourteen years of age and tried to live by the teachings of her Master and King.
