Roberta Jean Stolk, 59, passed away Friday March 11, 2022, at Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, IA. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, March 21 at the Earlham Community Center, 150 E. First Street. The memorial service will start at 5:00 p.m. with dinner to follow.

Roberta was born May 6, 1962, in Dexter, IA, to Robert and Shirley (Reimers) Morrison. She grew up in the Earlham area where she graduated from Earlham High School in 1980. In 1981, she met John Stolk and they were married on August 27, 1983. John and Roberta resided in Casey, IA, where they raised four children. In 2019, John and Roberta moved to a small acreage to live the country life they had always dreamed of near Exira, IA. The move did not come without another total home renovation which was completed solely by the two of them.

Roberta worked many of her early career years in restaurant management. Eventually a shift in her career led her to become a U.S. Postal clerk where she worked for the past 15 years.

Roberta and John enjoyed camping and fishing which led to the purchase of their first travel trailer camper and many camping adventures over the last year. She was a creative mind who enjoyed interior decoration, crafting, and puzzle books. She was always planning family activities and loved spending the holidays with all her children and grandchildren. Holidays, especially Christmas, were always filled with games and activities organized by Roberta. From Easter scavenger hunts to recreating television game shows, holidays were always exciting with lots of laughter and love.

Roberta leaves the following family to celebrate her life: husband John Stolk of Exira, daughter Jodie (Jamie) Overton of Marshalltown, son Tyler Stolk of Casey; daughter Mindy (Ed) Snyder of Murray; daughter Carri (Casey) Harding of Adel; eight grandchildren Faith, Keira, Ellie, Vernon, Loretta, Claire, and Garrett; brother Dale Morrison; brother Dean (Cindy) Morrison; brother Richard Morrison; brother Robert Morrison; sister Patricia (Randy Ballard) Morrison; and many nieces and nephews.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Shirley Morrison, sister Connie Stroeber, brother Roger Morrison, and sister Cindy Morrison.
