Obituary of Otto Koehler

Otto Frederick Koehler was born in Holmes county, Ohio, February 16, 1871, and died at his home in Madison county, Iowa, August 8, 1910, aged 39 years, 5 months and 22 days. He came with his parents to Iowa in 1877 and resided in Madison county until his death.

On the 27th December, 1893 he was married to Etha Bell Alexander. There were born to them two children, Freddie Joseph and Cecil Irene.

Bro. Koehler professed faith in Christ and joined the North River U. B. church in 1901 and lived a true Christian life the remainder of his days.

He was well known and well loved by a large circle of friends. He will be sadly missed in the community as well as in his home. He leaves a wife, two children, and an aged mother and father residing in California, four brothers and five sisters to mourn. But they sorrow not as those without hope, for Otto died in the faith and hope of the gospel, and assured his wife and pastor that he was ready to meet his Savior.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Stiverson, assisted by Father Young.
