Thomas Dunsmoor, 84, passed away at his home in Patterson on Friday, February 18, 2022.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the Peru United Methodist Church with a celebration of life beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at a later date in the Peru Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Peru United Methodist Church. Online condolences may be left for the family at caldwellparrish.com.

Tom was born on October 5, 1937 to John and Opal (Moore) Dunsmoor in Oskaloosa, IA. Growing up, he attended Oskaloosa Schools. Tom was married to Harriett Ann Fowler on June 14, 1963 at the Oskaloosa Christian Church.

Over the years, Tom worked as a mechanic. He was always tinkering and fixing something. Tom also enjoyed going to the auction and to the flea market. He would go to the auction, buy some items, and then take them to the flea market to resell. Tom was also a homebody. He enjoyed riding his bike around Patterson, even at the young age of 84. Tom loved all animals, but especially his Kitty cat.

Tom was preceded in death by his daughter, Gina Marie; his parents; four brothers; one sister; 3 sisters-in-law; and many other relatives.

He is survived by his wife, Harriett Dunsmoor; four daughters, Angela (Jeff) Smith, Trista (Russell) Ingram, Melissa Turman, and Dena (Brian) Brown; nine grandkids, Paige Turman, Quentin Capps, Cassandra Kick, Taylor Ingram, Shane (Shenee) Turman, Trent Imura, Elizabeth (Zach) Newbrough, Marie (Jacob) Marks, and Claire (Austyn) Kersey; two step-grandkids; four great-grandkids with one on the way; and 6 step-great grandkids.
