Thelma Louise Gray, daughter of Harry Garrett Oglesbee, Sr. and Myrtle Mildred (Hess) Oglesbee was born March 15, 1931 in Madison County, Iowa and passed from this life Friday, February 18, 2022 at her home in St. Charles, Iowa at 90 years of age.

Thelma received her education in New Virginia, graduating in 1950. After high school she also attended Comptometer School of Business in Des Moines.

She was united in marriage to Bernard Walter Gray on November 9, 1952 at Patterson, Iowa and seven children blessed this union.

Teddie was a homemaker and mom before she started working outside of the home. She did bookkeeping for 68 gas stations owned by Clearman Oil including Bernie's Fina gas station in Winterset, also worked for Farmers and Merchants Bank in St. Charles and at Montross Pharmacy in St. Charles for over 40 years, 26 of those years at the pharmacy. She is a member of St. Charles Parish Church and has been involved with the St. Charles Preservation Committee/Visitors Center, where she was one of the 3 founders. She was also instrumental in helping to get the funds for the St. Charles Fire Department to purchase their fire pumper truck. In past years, Teddie was a member of neighborhood clubs and the Order of The Eastern Star.

Those relatives who preceded Thelma in death were her parents; father and mother-in-law, James and Bernice Gray; husband, Bernard Walter Gray; brothers, Morris Oglesbee and Harry Oglesbee, Jr., brother-in-law, Jack Gray and sister-in-law, Thelma Bailey.

Thelma leaves to cherish her memory; son, Randy (Sherrie) Gray of St. Charles, IA, daughter, Robin (Gary) Frey of Winterset, IA, daughter, Renee (Larry) Kooker of Lenox, IA, son, Ricky (Tina) Gray of Winterset, IA, daughter, Roseann (Alan) Bichel of Conroy, IA, son, Roger (Leah) Gray of Truro, IA, daughter, Rachell (Brad) Nelson of St. Charles, IA, grandchildren, Mollie (Ryan) Scrivner, Zachery (Rachel) Gray, Bryan Frey, Jennifer Frey, Joshua (Brittany) Frey, Dustin Kirk, Tisa Gray, Casey Gray, Beriet (Matt) Moffitt, Heath Bichel, Lindsey (Jake) Rissi, Brady (Natasha) Gray, Ethan Gray, Morgan (Autumn Ashby) Nelson and Sydney (C.D. Kunzie) Nelson; great-grandchildren, Addison, Blake, Corbin, Brylee, Elainë, Ayden, Easton, Gatlin, Amelia, Oliver, Flynn, Raelynn, Ryker, Daxton, Gracie and Tucker. Also surviving are her sister, Jerrie Lorraine England of Earlham, IA, brother, Jerry Gerald (Dolores) Oglesbee of Buckeye, AZ, sister-in-law, Shirley Oglesbee of Broomfield, CO, sister-in-law, Marguerite Hines of Indianola, IA, brother-in-law, Paul Bailey of Des Moines, IA as well as other relatives and many friends.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola.

Interment of cremains will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the St. Charles Cemetery, St. Charles, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be directed to St. Charles Parish Church.
