Eddie E. Crutcher, Jr., 60, died Monday, July 4, 2005. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Thursday, July 7 at Hamilton's Funeral Home with burial at Young Cemetery in Truro, IA.

Eddie retired from the Des Moines Public School Board and worked as a stationary engineer. He was a member of Silvis Masonic Lodge #898 and enjoyed camping, canoeing, and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lee Crutcher; sons, Duke and Julie Crutcher and Dale Crutcher; daughter, Arlene and Gary Brown all of Des Moines; ten grandchildren; mother, Colyn Crutcher of Texas; sister, Judy Stanley of Kansas City, MO; and mother-in-law, Ruby McCarl of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his son, Doyle; grandson, Jacob; father, Eddie Crutcher, Sr.; and father-in-law, Roy McCarl.
