Kenneth Mendenhall

Kenneth H. Mendenhall of San Ardo died Wednesday at the Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. He was 67.

Mr. Mendenhall, a native of Iowa, had lived in San Ardo 16 years and had worked in the oil fields in San Ardo. Mr. Mendenhall was active in San Ardo community affairs. He had served in the U.S. Marines during World War II.

Mr. Mendenhall is survived by his wife, Mildred Mendenhall of Salinas; five daughters, Sharon Seely of Dexter, Iowa, Carolyn Wilson of Salem, Ore., Judy Shelton of Des Moines, Iowa, Jannet Germaro of Merced and Joyce Nunes of Winton; one stepdaughter, Ann Thomas of Bakersfield; one stepson, Floyd Tyra of Cottonwood, Ariz.; one sister, Phylis Garwell of Yuba City; one brother, Roland Mendenhall of Searcy. Ark.; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren .

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the San Ardo Grange Hall in San Ardo. Arrangements were under the direction of the Healey Mortuary.
