Page 15, Column 1MOUNTAIN IRON - Ray V. Bennett, 86, died Saturday at Virginia Convalescent Center, Virginia.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Dingmann Funeral Chapel, Kimball. The Rev. Jerry Albert will officiate. Burial will be in Maine Prairie Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Kimball.
Ray Bennett was born Feb. 5, 1900 at Winterset, Iowa, to Gerald and Anna (Cramlet) Bennett. He married Golda Pratt Sept. 10, 1926, in St Cloud; She died in 1977. He was a farmer and construction worker.
Survivors include sons and daughter, Clair, Eveleth; Donald, Mountain Iron; Robert, Smiths, Ala.; Lewis, Minnetonka; Fred, Iron; Charles, Forbes; Mrs. Gerald (Maxine) Fitzgerald, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; brother, Warren, Finlayson; 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, three sisters and two grandsons.
