OBITUARY

Lawrence Fry was born in Penntownship, Madison County, Iowa, November 3rd, 1878 and departed this life December 29th, 1924, aged 46 years, 1 month, 26 days.

He lived his entire life in or near Dexter and is known to the entire community.

He was united in marriage to Nora Still of Guthrie Center, Iowa on December 10th, 1924.

The deceased leaves to mourn his death, his wife, Nora Fry, his father Daniel F. (L.) Fry or Arneyville (Arenzville), Ill., a brother Ben Fry, of Dexter; two sisters, Mrs. Adah McGennnis (McGinnis) of Arneyville (Arenzville), Ill., and Mrs. Minnis Lawrence of Portland, Oregon. Three uncles, Ben and James Fry of Earlham and Elijah of Redfield. Two aunts, Mrs. James Snapp of Dexter and Mrs. Sarah Sumpter of Earlham. All of whom were present at the funeral except Mrs. Lawrence of Portland, Oregon.

Funeral services were held from the Methodist church on Friday afternoon, the Rev. D.J. McKay afficiating, assisted by the Rev. W.H. Elges and the local lodge of the Independent Order of Oddfellows. The remains were laid to rest in the Dexter cemetery
