Services for Lois Smith, 94, of Afton, will be 1:30 p.m. Sat., Dec. 6, 2014 at the Powers Funeral Home in Afton with visitation and refreshments to follow the service on Saturday.

Lois Nitzche married Ralph “Brick” Smith. She lived in Arispe, Afton, Lorimor and West Des Moines areas. They operated a custom farming and trucking business.

Surviving are daughter, Charlotte Smith, son, Bill (wife Kay) Smith; four grandchildren, Dustin, Nathan and Barat Smith and Danielle Daggett; nine great-grandchildren, Ryan, Kylie, Zach, Luke, Shiloh and Silas Smith, Marie, Tabitha, and Neriah Daggett.
