CEDAR FALLS – Services for Nancy J. Farmer, 66, of the Western Home, who died of cancer Tuesday (March 17) at Covenant Medical Center-Kimball, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Mason City.

She was born Aug. 19, 1920, in Madison County, daughter of Thomas F. and Ellen C. Cash Kelleher. She married Howard W. Farmer on Nov. 21, 1943, in Des Moines. He died in 1970.

Mrs. Farmer was a partner in Farmer Opticians Inc., Mason City. She was a practical nurse and worked at the Good Shepard Home and Mercy Hospital, Mason City, and at Windsor Care Center, Cedar Falls.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Farmer, of Miami, Fla.; three sons, Steven R., of Converse, Texas, William W. of Cedar Falls and Paul J. of Eustis, Fla.; seven sisters, Mary Ellen Hatley and Theresa Connors, both of Des Moines, Elizabeth Shafer of Baltimore, Md., Agnes McLaughlin of Cumming, Rita Rooney, of Maxwell, Sue Gollon of Hopkins, Minn., and Gretchen Wilson of Denver Colo.; three brothers, John and Michael Kelleher, both of Des Moines, and Peter Kelleher, of Houston, Texas; she was preceded in death by three brothers.

A Scripture service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, where friends may call until 9 p.m. Wednesday and before services Thursday. A Scripture service also will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Hogan Bremer Funeral Chapel, Mason City.

Memorials may be made to Camp Gaywood Girl Scout Camp or the Catholic Worker of Waterloo.
