Miss Rebekah Daniels, daughter of Charles Daniels, living one mile south of Hebron, died Friday morning, October 20 at 5:30 o’clock, aged 13 years and 4 months. She was born in Madison county, June 20, 1903. She was a student in the sixth grade in the Hebron school and a member of the Hustlers Sunday school class of the Hebron Sunday school.
She attended school Thursday in her apparent usual health, but complained of not feeling well upon retiring, but did not seem to be seriously ill. About five a. m. her sister, Emma, who roomed with her heard her moaning but as she quieted down she did not attempt to waken her. About six o’clock her mother called the girls and Rebekah did not answer her and Emma called to her mother that Rebekah would not wake up and her mother hastened to the room and found that life was extinct. Dr. Kinsman, of Orient, was called and said that death was due to heart failure.
The funeral was held in the Hebron Methodist church Sunday at 11 a. m., Rev. E. L. Spliller pastor, officiating. The many beautiful floral offerings from her school mates, ladies aid and numerous friends attest the high esteem in which she was held by her many acquaintances and the sincere sympathy which goes out to the bereaved parents.
