E. E. Douglas received word Tuesday evening of the death of his mother, Mrs. Mary Jane Douglas, at her home in Truro.

Mrs. Douglas had been ill with pneumonia about a week and was not thought to be in a critical condition, but failed rapidly at the last and passed away at 4:30 Tuesday afternoon.

NEIGHBORHOOD NEWS – TRURO

Mrs. Mary J. Douglas passed away at her home last Tuesday evening after a week’s illness from pneumonia.

The funeral was held from the home Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Calkins, and the body laid to rest in the Hartman cemetery.
