Greyson David Harskamp

Greyson David Harskamp, age 10, of Earlham, Iowa, died Sunday, March 28, 2021, at home. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2021, at the Earlham High School South Gymnasium in Earlham.

Greyson was born on July 11, 2010, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Tim and Mindy (Michel) Harskamp. He was baptized on December 5th, 2010, at Lutheran Church of Hope. He attended Earlham Community Schools, and was in the 4th grade.

Greyson will be remembered for his infectious and loving smile, and his quick wit. He prided himself on being a young man with impeccable manners and being able to talk with anyone, no matter what their age. He absolutely adored his brother and sister, and would never turn down a living room wrestling match. He truly cared about the people around him, and went out of his way to show others how much he cared. Greyson was always true to himself and could bring a smile to anyone’s face.

Some of Greyson’s likes were drawing, the color yellow, and if he was given the option, he would eat Subway sandwiches every day.

The people left to cherish his memory are his parents, Tim and Mindy Harskamp of Earlham; sister, 12-year-old Kenna Elizabeth and brother, 5-year-old Nolan Michel; grandparents, David and Ila Harskamp of Sioux Center, Helena Michel of Earlham; aunts and uncles, Shantelle (Greg) Bleeker of Sergeant Bluff, Thomas (Dana) Harskamp of Waverly, Angela Michel of Waukee, Janay (Carlos) Michel-Hernandez of Sevilla, Spain, Nick (Allison) Michel of Apple Valley, MN; cousins Brooke Bleeker, Lauren Bleeker, Dayle Bleeker, Jaron Bleeker, Reese Bleeker, Asher Harskamp, Henley Harskamp, Drake Allen, Nora Michel-Hernandez, Joey Michel, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Brent Michel.

Memorials may be directed to the Greyson Harskamp Memorial at Earlham Savings Bank.

Arrangements are being handled by Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home - Winterset Chapel in Winterset.
