DEATH RECORD OF THE PAST WEEK

List of Those Whom the Grim Reaper Has Summoned to Last Account

Marilla Boyles Bare

Marilla Boyles Bare was born April 20, 1863 at Winterset, Iowa and died May 16, 1933 at her home in Pleasantville, aged 70 years and 26 days.

She was the second to youngest child of Philip and Lydia Boyles. Five brothers and five sisters preceded her in death. Only one sister, Mary Sievers of Savannah, Mo., remains living. She was married to Oren H. Bare January 21, 1886 in Winterset where they lived for two and one half years, then moving to Pleasantville where they have lived ever since. To this union one son, Lloyd K. was born.

She was united with the First Baptist church of Winterset in 1879. Her membership was transferred to the Methodist church of this place after moving here.

She was a charter member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Hers was a good life and in spite of the sadness of her years of illness, there are many precious memories connected with her passing away.

Funeral services were held at the Mason Funeral Home on Thursday afternoon, may 18, conducted by Reverend O. E. Cooley. Interment in Pleasantville Cemetery.

Mrs. O. H. Bare Dies

Mrs. O. H. Bare, sister-in-law of J. O. Bare of Winterset, died Tuesday at her home in Pleasantville. Services are to be held this afternoon, Thursday, at Pleasantville.

Mrs. Blair was Urilla (sic) Boyles, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Boyles, pioneer residents of Madison county. Mr. Boyles contended that he was the first white settler here, reaching here a day or two or before the Guye and Clark families who settled in the county in 1846.

Mr. and Mrs. Ben Bare and J. O. Bare drove to Pleasantville today to attend the funeral.
