Dwayne Allan Miller

Dwayne Miller, age 57, of Boone, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at his home.

There will be no services held at this time.

Dwayne Allan Miller was born to Albert “Dean” Miller and Donna Jean (Kester) Porter on January 6, 1963 in Winterset, IA. He graduated from Winterset High School in 1982.

Dwayne worked at Kurt’s Hardware in Des Moines during his high school years. Following high school, he moved to Boone. He worked for Rolfes at Boone for many years.

Dwayne worked a lot and when he was not working, you could bet on him fishing. From a young age, he loved to go to the river. As kids, he and his siblings would go swimming and fishing at the river. He continued the hobby throughout his entire life. Dwayne and his brothers went on fishing trips in Canada as well.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; and mom, Donna Jean Porter. He is survived by his dad, Dean Miller of Boone; step-mother, Martha Miller of Chariton, IA; siblings, Travis (Wendy) Day of Ardmore, OK, Tim (Edna) Porter of Des Moines, IA, Darryl Miller of Boone, IA, Julie (Mike) Thomas of Phoenix, AZ, Donnie (Leah) Porter of Pilot Mound, IA, Kathy (Andy) Farrel of Chariton, IA, Terry Breuklander of Boone, IA, and Tammy Lozir of Chariton, IA; nieces and nephews, Brick Porter, Dylan Trotter, Justin Miller, Nicole Miller (Austin Larson), Miranda Lozir, Ted Farrel, Wyatt Farrel, Ethan Farrel, and Shane Farrel.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets in Boone. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Dwayne Miller Family, C/O Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel, P.O. Box 15, Boone, IA, 50036.
