Died on the 15th inst., at Bevington, Mr. John Peters. Mr Peters came to Madison county about twenty-five years ago from Illinois.
He leaves a divorced wife and six children, two sons, James and John, live in Adair county, Thomas lives at Bevington, Frank travels for the Dr. Baker Medicine Co. through Nebraska. His daughter Mary, lives at Bevington, and another, Mrs. Wright, lives in Missouri.
Mr. Peters was an old soldier, and served four years in an Illinois battery. He was buried at the Catholic cemetery at Churchville, on the 17th inst.

Page 1, Column 1John Peters, of Bevington, died a week ago last Sunday morning. His remains were interred in the Churchville cemetery on Tuesday of last week. Mr. Peters was born in Ireland in March, 1819, and lack only about two months of being 80 years old.
He was an old soldier and served through the whole war of the Rebellion. He was an honest and upright citizen and was well liked by all his acquaintances.
