Page 21, Column 6Winifred M. Meilike, 85, of the 2700 block of 64th Street died of complications of Alzheimer's disease Wednesday at Fountain West Health Care Center in West Des Moines. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Windsor United Methodist Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Wallace Cemetery in Wick.
Mrs. Meilike was born in Des Moines and had lived here 32 years. She had been an accountant with the state of Iowa and was a member of Acanthus Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star and the Des Moines and Urbandale garden clubs. She enjoyed sewing, traveling and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Carl; three sons, Alan of Council Bluffs, Gary of Ankeny and Paul of Andalusia, Ala.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Westover Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church, Hospice of Central Iowa or the Iowa Alzheimer's Association.
________________________Coordinator's note: Per her Social Security Application and her 1941 Madison County Marriage Record, the deceased was born in St. Charles. She is in St. Charles in both the 1920 and 1930 censuses.
