Death June 2 of D. L. Read

Dwight Lyman Read, 66, a retired farmer, died Wednesday, June 2, 1976 at Northeast Community Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. He was a native of Madison County, born August 31, 1909.

The son of Asahel E. Read and Mary Jane Jones Read, Dwight Read lived most of his life in Madison County. He was a veteran of the Second World War.

Survivors include one brother, Nelson Read, and two sisters, Kathryn Young and Jessie Young, all of Winterset.

Dwight Read was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Raymond, a half-brother, Maurice, and two infant brothers.

Funeral services for Dwight Lyman Read were conducted Monday, June 7, at 10:30 a.m. from Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, Dr. Paul Hann presiding.

Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery with military graveside services.
