Carolyn Ann Pollard, age 69, of St. Charles died peacefully Wednesday, December 9, 2020 surrounded by family & friends at her home in St. Charles.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at O'Leary Celebration of Life Center in Norwalk.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 5:00 PM at O'Leary Celebration of Life Center in Norwalk.

Carolyn Ann (Cook) Pollard was born on August 28, 1951 to John and Jenny (Rhodes) Cook in St. Charles, Iowa. She attended school in Martensdale and later went to work and retired from Printer Incorporation, where she worked in book publishing.

In 1968, Carolyn married Wilton Croy, Sr. where she gave birth to Wilton, Jr. and Ronnie, later divorcing. Then in December of 1979, she married Eldon Pollard and gave birth to her third son James.

Carolyn was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Des Moines where she was on the dart league and won many rewards for placing in league tournaments.

She loved being outside enjoying the beauty of nature, planting and doing yard work, having quite the green thumb. Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her boys getting outside to split wood and take trips to the scrap yard.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, John & Jenny Cook, brother’s Floyd Cook and Jack Cook, and sister-in-law Becky Cook.

Carolyn will forever be remembered by her children Wilton Croy, Jr. of St. Charles, Ronnie (Louise) Croy of St. Charles and James (Desiree) Pollard of California; her sister Phyllis (Burle) Croy, brother Bill (Vickie) Cook, sister-in-law Nancy Cook, as well as her six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved deeply.
