Graveside services for James G. Gilbert, 76, of 2201 Garfield Ave., will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Moon Cemetery in Macksburg.

Mr. Gilbert died Wednesday at the Indianola Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Madison County and lived in the Chariton and Russell areas before moving to Des Moines about six months ago. He was a retired farmer.

Mr. Gilbert is survived by three sons, Wayne and Wallace, both of Des Moines, and Eugene of Elkhart; two daughters, Mrs. Murray Wood of Albany, Ore., and Mrs. Ralph Holloway of Charleston, W. Va., several grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
