Word was received Thursday by J. F. Tate that his sister, Mrs. Charles Gratz, had passed away. She has been in poor health for some time but was slowly improving when her heart weakened and caused her death.
Mrs. Gratz will be remembered by many as she was a resident of Winterset for some time.
The funeral was held in Neosha, Missouri on Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed Truex.
